Gathering #1: Selfemployment and entrepreneurship among artists

The arts, culture and design fields have a vast potential to contribute to society – yet a large number of professionals find it hard to make a living as an artist.

• How do we strengthen the ability of the professionals to create sound entrepreneurial working lives?

Project managers, consultants, trainers and educators - we're all working hard to support professionals in the field of art. Many of us don’t know each other and our products and methods are different. By meeting we can learn from each other, strengthen our knowledge and qualify our products and methods.

Gathering #1 is the first Nordic gathering for all of us who work with entrepreneurship among tomorrow's artists (from designers and architects to actors and ballet dancers).

Participants at the Gathering #1 have the unique opportunity to meet colleagues from the Nordic countries, presenting innovative methods and best practices, crazy ideas and serious ambitions.

In a mixture of information, participation and interactions with colleagues, the 24 hours program offers panel discussions, pecha kucha presentations, networking, food, drinks and artistic features.

Gathering #1 is open for all of you, who are directly involved in development of professionals in the artistic field towards a selfemployed and entrepreneurial working-life.

Registration before the 9th of October.

There will be room for 30 participants and we will hand out the tickets for participation out of a need of diversity among artistic fields and Nordic countries.

Participation in Gathering #1 is free of charge, all costs are paid for by KreaNord. Expenses for travel and accommodation will need to be covered by the participants.

Gathering #1 is facilitated by Karlbak (www.karlbak.dk).

The language will be a mix of Scandinavian languages and English as it suits the participants best.
